Cleanroom Fan Filter Units

SAM MicroSound ECM | MFG: Cleanrooms International

SAM MicroSound ECM GS units feature a gel channel on the upstream side of the final filter which provides a leak-free seal between the filter and the housing. Housings are fabricated from steel with a white powdercoat finish.

The ECM motor blower is a 1/3 HP, motor with a forward curved blower. Units are available in 115V (60 Hz), and 277V (60 Hz).

SAM MicroSound Fan Filter Units include a 99.99% efficient HEPA filter, 30% ASHRAE pleated type prefilter, seismic clip suspension points. Final filters are protected with a white epoxy diamond pattern grille and are tested according to accepted procedures as described by the Institute of Environmental Sciences (IEST) and/or ISO standards. The standard HEPA filter is 99.99% eff. and an ULPA grade 99.9995% eff. filter is available as an option.

SAM Haz Loc (Hazardous Location) Units are ideal for supplying clean air to workstations or equipment in a location where ambient air is contaminated with chemical or other hazardous conditions.

Units include a 99.99% effi cient HEPA filter,prefilter, spark resistant aluminum blower wheel and electrical parts with explosion proof ratings (AMCA Type B Construction).

Housings are fabricated from steel with a white powdercoat finish. If necessary eyebolts can be field installed in the weld nuts located at all corners for suspending the unit.

Units are available in 115 Volt (60 Hz), 208-230 Volt (50/60 Hz) and 277 (60 Hz), single phase and 208/460, 3 phase. SAMlink Control Systems are designed to control SAM units from a remote console or panel. Linked individually or in groups, an operator can increase or reduce airflow to a selected area and utilize the set back feature during off-peak hours, resulting in lower operating costs.

Our exclusive state-of-the-art, reasonably priced fan filter control systems utilize our standard 115 volt and 277 volt, motor blower units without using high cost DC motors.

Precise Airfl ow Control
- SAM units are controlled individually or in groups, typically 1-4 units per address.
- Fan speeds are set and/or adjusted from a console located outside the cleanroom without breaching the integrity of the cleanroom. Three levels of adjustment are possible: by Individual address / per Cleanroom zone / or Globally (all addresses)

- The number of addresses is almost unlimited.

SAM 44 CRF Fan Filter Units feature HEPA or ULPA filters replaceable from
roomside. All standard SAM 44 Fan Filter Units include two (2) 99.99% efficient HEPA filters, two (2) prefilters and seismic clip suspension points. Housings are fabricated from 20 gauge steel with white powdercoat finish and are designed to fit a nominal 4’x 4’ ceiling grid (46.5”x 46.5” standard opening).

Motor blower assemblies are chosen after consulting with our sales or engineering departments and are removable from roomside. Voltages range from 115 to 277 volt single phase, 50/60hz or 208 to 480 volt, three phase. Final filters are protected with a white epoxy diamond pattern grille and are tested according to accepted procedures as described by the Institute of Environmental Sciences (IEST) and/or ISO standards.
Filter options include gasket style ULPA 99.9995% or PTFE 99.999995% efficiencies and gel seal style HEPA or ULPA grade filters. Removing the polystyrene egg-crate grille with an anodized aluminum frame permits removal of the filter without removing the unit from the ceiling.
